Getting Prepared: Farm Security Advice
Brianna grew up on a family farm in northeastern Indiana. Now she focuses her legal practice working for farmers and agribusinesses. Brianna has litigated complex environmental and agricultural matters, including insurance coverage, regulatory compliance, tort claims, zoning appeals, and employment claims. Brianna advises livestock operations and other farms on environmental and employment best practices. Brianna also negotiates and drafts contracts for agricultural companies and farms, including farm leases, employment agreements, sales agreements, and privacy contracts. She is licensed in Indiana and Illinois and has represented a wide variety of clients from start-up companies and livestock farmers to large agricultural businesses, trade groups, and municipalities.
Brianna has authored numerous articles and given presentations on a variety of topics, including livestock operations, land use, the Clean Water Act, consumer demands, agricultural employment issues, drainage, farm leases, wetlands, agri-tourism, food law, and insurance coverage.
Brianna has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star and was selected as an Up and Coming Lawyer by the Indiana Lawyer publication. She is a current member of the Indiana AgriInstitute Agricultural Leadership Program. Brianna also serves on various committees for the American Agricultural Law Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association Environmental Section executive committee.
